LifePak PIP-Trouble Shooting

PIP-Keypad Test

1. The Keypad Test is initiated from the Test Menu (as shown in Figure 3-2) which should be displayed from the end of the previous step Press ECG Size to scroll to KEYPAD, then press SYNC to start the Keypad Test.

2. Press teh front panel pushbuttons and then the rear panel pushbuttons in the following order:

FRONT PANEL:

1. LEAD SELECT
2. ECG SIZE (down arrow)
3. ECG SIZE (up arrow)
4. ENERGY SELECT (down arrow)
5. ENERGY SELECT (up arrow)
6. CHARGE
7. RECORD
8. SYNC


REAR PANEL:

1. QRS VOL (down arrow)
2. QRS VOL (up arrow)
3. MODE
4. 1mV CAL
5. SET

 

3. Press the APEX paddle CHARGE pushbutton

4. Press the APEX paddle discharge pushbutton; confirm no beep sounds.

5. Press the STERNUM paddle discharge pushbutton; confirm no beep sounds.

6. Simultaneously press both paddle discharge pushbuttons; confirm that a beep sounds.

7. Confirm that the monitor displays KEYPAD: OK, then press LEAD SELECT to return to the Test Menu. If the pushbuttons are not pressed in the order listed above, or if there is a pushbutton failure, the monitor displays KEYPAD: FAULT. In this case, press LEAD SELECT to return to the Test Menu; press V ECG SIZE A to scroll to KEYPAD, then press SYNC to restart the Keypad Test and repeat steps 2 through 7.

8. To exit the Keypad Test after completion, press ECG SIZE to scroll to EXIT and press SYNC to resume normal operation.
